I'm using MS PowerPoint 2000 SP3. I have a problem to make a specific word
to blink in the presentation slide. Would you please advise how can I make
it work?

Many thanks!

I know how to do it by cheating.

Create the complete line of text.
Copy and paste the text box and place directly over the first.
Set the top box to emphasis - blink from the custom animations.
Send to back
Color the blinking word(S) in the top box to the background color.

I can send you an example if you need one.

Maybe there is an easier way too.

Hi Rikk:

Thank you for your fast respond. Would you please send me an example via
(e-mail address removed)?

Thanks again,

There is no Emphasis - blink animation in PowerPoint 2000. If you have access
to PowerPoint 2002 or 2003 then this method would be of help.

The best method would be outside of PowerPoint. You can use an animation editor
such as GIF Construction Set and create an animated GIF. It would only take two
images to do it - - basically a "text on" and a "text off" image. The first
would be a background color with the text and the second would be the same
background color without the text.

My fault- I read Ver 03 when I saw SP3.

Sorry.
