Hi all,
I'd like to make a start disk for Windows 2000. How can it be done?
Many thanks in advance

There are three different disk that are often called "boot disks" used
for Windows 2000:

1. A set of 4 diskettes used for starting Windows 2000 Setup.
2. A single boot disk that will start your Windows 2000 installation if
your boot sector becomes damaged.
3. A single DOS boot disk that can be used to flash your BIOS.

My computer is attacked by virus. I want to make a start disk (on
another computer free from virus), in order to start the virus-attacked
system to avoid virus-activation and scan the system with anti-virus
program. should I use the above-mentioned variant 3 disk? I think it
is the only choice since the others are for setup, and I don't want to
do it, if it can be avoided.

I'd use that option, then you can use the included boot sector scan to
check the boot sector for a virus but I don't know if you can run any
other virus program from floppy disk?

Can an anti-virus program be run from a CD? Thanks!
