Cool, another use for PowerPoint -- Cake Decorating.
Usually PowerPoint is just considered a presentation software with an
intuitive user interface. So, because its WYSIWYG way of working is easy to
understand, people use it to make restaurant menus, weekly news bulletins,
hallway signage, music videos, and such. It really wasn't designed to do
any of this, but it has the right attitude - Can Do.
Just save the presentation slide as a EMF image file ( Select File => Save
as... and select "Enhanced Windows Metafile *.emf" as the "Save as type:".
Be sure to put it somewhere where you can find it again, like the desktop.)
Then create a new blank presentation and add 3 additional slides. Now
insert the saved emf image file onto each of your 4 slides, enlarge and crop
as needed. The resultant slide printouts will cover 4 sheets of paper or 1
sheet cake.
Some (not many) printers have options for tiling the print out. Usually it
takes more time to hunt these functions down and diddle with the settings
than it would take to do the above simple process.
