How to make a file non-Read-Only

Currently, I'm loading an excel sheet off the web and the excel sheet loads
within Internet Explorer.

I tried to save after I changed some information, but I get an "File is only
read-only" error. File saves fine onto the server if I load the same excel
sheet on my desktop. How can I make it non-read-only?

Try this, In Windows Explorer..........right-click on the file > Properties
General tab > then un-check the Read-only box under Attributes............
