Hi:

using Dell dimension 3000, win xp, sp2, home.
Please tell me how to transfer analog audio from a tape player into the back
of my computer and then onto a CD. There are 3 jacks in the back the tower:
2 speaker outlets and a jack with what appears to be a microphone image next
to it. I've tried to play some music from a tape player into the jack with a
mic. next to it but get no sound or any reaction from the computer.

thanks,

Jim

Connect the cassette deck/ tape player, amplified turntable output audio
device to the computer's Line In socket using a stereo audio cable.
Numerous audio recorder are available to record the audio and I use
FlexiMusic Wave Editor to record and save the audio files either as Mp3 or
wav file format. Audio files in these formats are ready to burn to CD.
