I have a bunch of Windows XP Home and Pro systems where I would like to lock
the administrator password so it can't be changed by another user who has
admin privelidges. I want to find a way of guaranteeing being able to get
back into a laptop if the user has forgotten their password and someone else
has messed with the admin password. It may not happen very often if at all
but if you get a disgruntled employee they may decide to mess with both
(they may just reformat the hard disk as well but you can't cover
everything).
Most of our machines are in difficult to get to places so I am reluctant to
do anything that locks normal users out of doing what they want apart from
changing the admin password.
This may be wishful thinking but if anyone has any ideas I'd be glad to hear
them
Best wishes all
