How to lock computer automatic with Window XP

Hi,

How can I make WindowXP automatically lock my computer??

Appreciate your answer. I've ticked the box of "on
resume, password protect" in the screen saver dialogue.
It doesn't work.

Hi Marina,

You will have to place a check in "on resume, password protect" checkbox on
the screensaver tab in display properties. The computer will be
automatically locked when it resumes from the screensaver. You can also
manually lock your computer by pressing the Windows logo key + L key
combination.

One additional note, if you manually invoke the screen saver, it won't require a password, until the timeout value has passed.

One day it just stopped working on my XPpro system. I had to
uncheck the box and change the screen saver, apply, exit, re-enter,
and change the screen saver back and and then check the box again.
The trick was changing the screen saver.

Hi, Thank you all for the reply. I think it works now
(keep my finger crossed). I have tried you suggested and
also I've installed the latest window update as one
article suggests there is a patch to fix this problem.
