I am writing a paper and I need to avoid numbering the coversheet and the two
other sheets, then use i,ii,iii up to vii pages, then every Chapter page
without a number; the page after chapter 1 begins with number 2. The
numbering will continue to the last page. Only chapter page will haave no
number.

I followed the given instructions but failed to correctly number my pages.

You should ask this in a Word newsgroup...sounds like a Word question.

Try the Word Newsgroup (I assume you ARE using Word ....... not trying to
use Frontpage as a wordprocessor (which it is not)).

Hey now wouldn't that be fun?

I know a guy who's using Publisher as a method of invoicing
clients...sheesh...and try to talk him out of it! He also uses it for
proposals. I tell ya,,,there's a market out there to teach computer basics!

And... MS should also put a spacebar limit switch in Word...sorry you've
exceeded your spacebar allocation for this document!
