How to kill the "Clean up the desktop" question popup permanently?

Norm Dresner

XP (esp home) has a really obnoxious periodic popup that asks the user if
he/she wants to clean up the desktop of unused shortcuts/icons. How can
this be permanently disabled?

Right click Desktop > Properties > Desktop tab > Customize Desktop button > Uncheck
"Run Desktop cleanup....."

Notes:
1. The Run Desktop cleanup.... is listed just above the OK, Cancel buttons.
