For some reason (probably me), I cannot keep the images there after
the animation is over: all the stuff in the slide that was animated,
just disappears.. how can I solve?
Thankx

Which version of PowerPoint do you use? And which animations?

There are 4 categories in the Custom Animation - Entrance, Emphasis, Exit,
Motion Path. If you use Exit effects, then the object will disappear after
the animation is completed. One way you can get the object back is to add an
Entrance > Appear effect.

If that's not the case, the slide may have advanced automatically to the
next slide. Click Slide Show > Slide Transition. Check if you have
automatically after marked. If yes, uncheck it.

InuY4sha,
Can you right click one of the animations and go to "Effects" for me? I want
you to tell us what (if anything) it says in the box just after the words
"After animation:".

I believe life is meant to be lived. But:
if we live without making a difference, it makes no difference that we lived

I only use the Entrance effects, therefore I suppose it's not the
problem...

No the "automatic after" option is not checked... (it's really
strange!)

Yes there is something there it's "Don't smooth" AND I tried to work
things around there, with a minor result:
if I click on "other colors" and select black, then the object stays
there but it becomes black.. which is not
what I need but it's better than disappearing!

I've figured out a weird behaviour that is probably responsible of my
troubles:
on most of the animations, there is a checkbox for "rewind after the
animation" (<----- I'm traslating it from my own language) which is
not selected:
IF I
1) check it and close the panel,
2) reopen it,
3) deselect the option, and close it
then it works fine!

So it's crazy but it seems like by default the animation has this
option checked BUT NOT SHOWN in the properties panel...

Using this procedure with all the animations it seems to solve the
problem...

I hope none of you will ever get caught in this trap...! really
annoying!
