i am new at building computers, and i am about to build my first comptuer.
befor i started i wanted to make sure i know how to add vista to a computer
with brand new componetes...

Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 64-bit for System Builders - OEM

i had found a good deal on this so i want to make sure i can use it befor i
buy it.

is it as simple as puting the disk into the dvd reader and let it do its
work or is there more...? i would apreatiat any help that any one can give
me.. please and thank you!!!

You must first ensure your hardware is capable of running Vista. Check with
Microsoft. Your computer should exceed the minimum requirements.
You just insert the dvd.

the componets are well above the minimum requirments and the motherboard says
its compatiable, thank you very much for your help.

My comment stands. Just insert the dvd and install.

It's also a good idea to check the manufacturers site for your favourite
programs/games and your printer etc to make sure they are all vista
compatible.

Bear in mind that the "minimum requirements" are the theoretical
minimums, and not at all the minimums required for adequate
performance. If your configuration is "well above" those minimums, it
may be fine, but you'd be a lot safer if you posted what you have and
give us a chance to evaluate them.
