how to install the software to each workstation through the server!

Hi, there...

I would like to know how to install the software (eg.
winzip) to each workstation through the server? If
anyone knows that, please advise me. Thanks a lot!

Winzip is REALLY horrible. It throws up about 100 dialogs the first time
they run it. There is a "kind of" silent install option (cmd line
switch) documented on their site.

What I tend to do, is put a dist on the server, run silent install on
each client with admin rights once (a two second operation) when I build
the machine - at least that way they can run it with user rights and
sort out the options themselves.

There's probably a much better way to do this.

If you have implemented Active Directory, then you can install most software
using GPOs.
