I need to create a template with placeholders for images so that may be
easily and consistantly inserted into the document. However, I cannot seem to
find where i can insert a placeholde, copy and paste a placeholder or anythig
of the sort.
Am i missing sometghing or is just not possible to add an image placeholder
to
a customized template

The handling of customized layouts and placeholders has changed
significantly between PowerPoint-versions 2003 and 2005 - so would you
please inform us about your version so that we can help you with correct
information?!

My apologies, PPT 2003.

My apologies, PPT 2003.

You can't create your own layouts in PPT 2003. What you could do:

- either use the guides and copies of the guides (drag them while holding
the Ctrl-key) to mark the space for the image and adjust the images to the
guides or

- insert an autoshape in a slide in the right size and the right place, use
this as a sample slide and copy it as often as you need it, insert the image
as a fill of the shape.

Best regards,
Ute
