Over driving the audio level often creates distortion making
the sound louder buy even harder to hear.
The best solution would be to use an external amplifier,
such as a TV home theater or stereo with the volume not
higher than 75% to keep a "clean" signal.
Consider a pair of noise canceling full cup headphones to
cut ambient noise and give a clean sound right at your ear.
Google for [noise suppression stereo headphones] or headset
to see a full selection.

| Assuming that you have a desktop computer with external
speakers, there are
| two separate volume controls:
|
| 1. On the speakers themselves
|
| 2. Within Windows. Go to Start | Settings | Control Panel
| Sounds and Audio
| Devices, and select "Place volume control on the task
bar."
|
| Turning both of these up should give you very loud sound.
|
| If yours is a laptop, you might want to buy external
speakers for it, and
| then do the same thing.
