Does anyone know if it's possible to create a form for users where they can
attach a document such as word or excel and the file be stored in the Access
database. I've read threads on possibly using hyperlinks to point to
documents, but nothing about if its possible to import and store as hyperlink
all at once.

I'm trying to create a database to track and store "sign offs" where the
users will need to attach supporting documentation such as Word, excel,
emails as proof. These documents will need to be retrieved and archived as
well and will be linked to the project ID.

Thanks for anyone's help!

well, i have stored Word docs in tables before, using the OLE Object data
type. i just successfully tested storing an Excel file, using the same data
type. i'm running an Access 2000 database in Access 2003 on MS 2000 Pro
operating system.

having only stored a very few Word docs (maybe a dozen at most) in a table,
i can't really offer any information on whether you may face issues of db
bloat, etc. the above may give you a place to start, at any rate.
