Just new out here..Please help me to find a way to import one or more
worksheet in a closed workbook, considering that such closed workbook can't
be open "Unable to read" on excel 2003.
thanks

You could try to link to it, using the full workbook reference but that
still may not work from a corrupt workbook. e.g

='C:\[Book1.xls]Sheet1'!$A$1

If this is just a last chance disaster recover, you could also try opening
it in Word

Thanks Nick...It just dont do it !
Thanks for the reply. Im just curious, since Excel program allows an
Updating of linked formulas from an Open Workbook which is referred to a
close workbook, how come it may not be possible to copy (Im sorry, its not
import) a particular worksheet, are you afraid that it would not be possible
in the near upgrades of Excel ? Thanks...This is something to do with the
Excel Program's proper selection of Worksheet that is solely corrupt or
unable to read - but not to sacrifice the whole workbook ! Maybe MVP
researchers can help the excel's future breeds....
Thanks again and more power !!!
By the way, i am an engineer working in a compact office - can you please
help me to find all the available excel templates (for free) in the field of
Civil, Survey, Structural, Cost, and Contract Engineering - for a
Construction Projects. I can also share these templates to a lot of my
friends-engineers- that some considered as mostly dummies in excel as of this
date....
Waiting for your kind reply....

Excel does actually open linked workbooks in the background, hence it takes
so long sometimes to update

There are tons of free templates in the office area of www.microsoft.com
