When I try to import the OE Address Book into Outlook XP, it asks
which destination for imported addresses I want to use - I select
'Outlook Contacts Folder' and it then imports the contacts to the
default Contacts folder. How can I import into another Contact folder
that I created (created by clicking File/New/Folder/Folder contains:
Contact Items)?

Thanks

List the steps you are using. Outlook's Import Wizard offers no such option.

The first steps I performed were at the end of my original posting:

File/ New /Folder /Folder contains: Contact Items / Name: test
then
File /Import and Export... /Import Internet Mail and Addresses ->Next
/Outlook Express 4.x, 5 /unchecked Import Mail and Import Rules ->Next
then
Import Addresses window
Select the destination for imported addresses:
I select 'Outlook Contacts Folder' and click Finish

then it proceeeds to import the addresses into my default 'Contacts'
folder

I want to be able to import the addresses into the 'Test' contacts
folder that I created.

Thanks

Well I get no such dialog to select a destination folder in any of the
current versions of Outlook. Outlook 2000 is too old for me to recheck. Do
you see your entire Folder tree in the dialog from which you are asked to
select your Destination Folder? Did you enable your sub folder as an email
address book in its properties?

I have Outlook XP/2002.

The window is titled 'Import Addresses'

The 'Select the destination for imported addresses:' section has 2
choices - 'Outlook Contacts Folder' and 'Personal Address Book' -
there are radio buttons in front of both so you can only pick one.

There is another section called 'Options' underneath that has 3 radio
button options - Replace duplicates with items imported, Allow
duplicates to be created, Do not import duplicate items. I picked the
'Allow duplicates' choice.

If you cannot help me, can you have someone else look into this?

Thanks

Could you at least include the original post? This is thread is now so
outdated it fell off my server. Also state the steps you are using. The
title of the Window doesn't tell me much.
