How to import CD track and title data into WMP 7.0 ?

I have a large Paradox database containing CD title
and track data, and would like to somehow import
this into WMP database (Windows\wmplibrary_v_0_12.db).

Are there any programs around to manipulate this
database, e.g., to import text files into the
database (this was very easy to do in Windows 95,
where the database was just a plain text file!).

I am guessing that this was easier when Microsoft was still using the
cdplayer.ini. WMP8+ uses a different database, so you will have to look for a
conversion utility.
