This MOBO has no name printed on it, just some names on the chips, like
SIS 5300 and TRIO 3,
how can I identify it in order to set jumpers, front panel and drivers?
it has PCI and IDE slots.

Thanks.

Boot it and read the BIOS splash screen. It should give you
a model number.

See what Everest has to say about it.

You may be able to take the very long number thats usually on
the bottom of the black bios screen at boot time and plug it into
http://www.wimsbios.com/numbers.shtml and get the MB name that way.

Whether you can get the manual for the jumpers
etc essentially depends on the manufacturer.

That last op can be a bit tricky, post that very long number here.

If you can't power it up, try finding an FCC ID printed somewhere on the
board, sometimes on stickers, sometimes in silkscreen or soldermask.

If it's a board sold commercially in the US, such identification is
required.
You can then hopefully find the manufacturer through
http://www.fcc.gov/oet/fccid/

When you start the pc up from power off, you can hit the pause/break
key to stop the boot process so you can write down the long
motherboard id string that appears in bottom of the screen. Otherwise
it scrolls by too fast.
