I recently installed Word on my system, and suddenly a 'Just_in_Time
Debugging message frequently pops up on my screen. Where does this come
from and how to I get rid of it?

For starters I'd check to see what the error is and if it's important.
Perhaps the repair function would be of value. Otherwise open your Visual
Studio and see the page below:

That's backwards - it's how you enable it - but if you do the opposite then,
well, it should go away. Err... I think... I've never had that happen on any
of my systems with both VS.NET and Word installed.

Galen, thank you for your kind response to my inquiry. Unfortunately, I
may have a corrupt 'Office' installation because I cannot find the files you
or the MS info pages reference. I may have to uninstall 'Office' and do a
complete reinstallation to see if I can remove this bothersome popup.

If you do a reinstall, remember to also delete the folder Word
was installed to, and the normal.dot template. Word creates a
lot of files on the fly that will be left behind after you remove
it. It's possible you have a macro virus in your normal.dot
file. Try deleting it and letting word re-create it. You'll
lose your customizations when you do that, but that sounds OK
since you're planning to reinstall anyway.
