I want to create a link so that it opens in a new window and also has a name.
Where it says Microsoft Internet Explorer, I want it to say something
different which I have specified. I need to know soon. PLEASE!!!!!

In FP 2003, to make the link open in a new window, in the hyperlink dialog
box, click on target frame and select New Window.

For the rest of your question, I can't figure out what you want, but maybe
someone else in the newsgroup can.

Put your title between the <title> and </title> tags....(code view in
Frontpage), near the top of the page.

You can also do this when you save an HTML file in FP, there is a box to put
the title a field to "name" the page (which appears in the title bar of the
browser window).

Andrew,

Isn't there a problem with this in that the rest of the text "Microsoft
Internet Explorer" will still appear after the name specified in
<title></title>? I get the impression (reading between the lines) that
cjarsenal may not want this.

I partly overcame this by a registry setting (which I have forgotten) and
now all I get is the title I specified and a single dash (-). See my website
to see what I mean.

cjarsenal,
I will try to find the registry setting if this is what you want, but in
Australia, it is bedtime (23:40).

Hiding the words Microsoft Internet Explorer will only apply to users that have modified their
registry, it can not be controlled from a web page.

All browsers display the Browser name, whether it's Opera, Firefox, Mozilla,
Netcape or IE etc

No way to erase the browser name that I know of except digging into the
Windows Registry - and that's a user by user setting, not something that can
be done with HTML code.
