All my letters are too thick everywhere. They are in bold at times.
Also the task bar on the top is too small. I tried to change using the
properties appearances on desktop but it doesn't seem to work unless I
am doing something wrong?

Answered in another newsgroup. Please do not send the same message
separately to more than one newsgroup (called multiposting). Doing so just
fragments the thread, so someone who answers in one newsgroup doesn't get to
see answers from others in another newsgroup. And for those who read all the
newsgroups the message is multiposted to, they see the message multiple
times instead of once (they would see it only once if you correctly
crossposted instead).

If you must send the same message to more than one newsgroup, please do so
by crossposting (but only to a *few* related newsgroups).

Please see "What is the accepted way to share a message across multiple
newsgroups?" at http://smjg.port5.com/faqs/usenet/xpost.html

OK sorry, as I thought different people answer in this newsgroup. I
quesiton wasn't fully answered over there.

You may see a few different names if you change newsgroups, but you'll find
that most of us are in most of the newsgroups (except for the more
specialized ones), In general, you don't need to post to two different
groups.

But if you do decide to post to more than one group, what's most important
is that the help you get will be better if you crosspost so we can all see
everyone else's replies when we respond. For example, if someone asks you a
question about your question in one newsgroup, and you respond there, I
don't get to see your response when I answer in the other newsgroup. The
result is that the thread gets broken into separate fragments and never
appears all together in one place. Everyone ends up wasting their time, and
you don't get the best help. Properly crossposting instead of multiposting
avoids all that.
