How to hook up headset & speakers to use both at same time?

I use teamspeak for a game I play. However, the way I have it set up, I
can't use my speakers to play music while I keep the headset on to hear my
friends - is there a way to do both? There are the three input jacks in the
back of the computer but the only one I truly understand is the microphone
one - then there's the middle (green one) and the end (black one) - how do I
plug in the speakers and the headset so that I can listen to music yet thru
my speakers and not the headset?

You PC documentation should point out the use for each connection.
