If I have a running application that shows up down in the
taskbar (as a running application normally would) is there
a way to either hide it such that it doesn't show up there
or is there a way to disable its "quit application" X such
that people cannot inadvertently (or intentionally) shut
off the application. I have a need where a secondary
application (one called by another application) needs to
stay up and running unless I go to more (keystroke) effort
than just clicking "close" via a right-click on the icon
in the task bar or by opening the application window and
selecting close by clicking the X in the upper right hand
corner. I want folks to only be able to shut it down by
going to the effort to call up the task manager and
shutting it down that way or doing an Alt-F4 which at
least implies that didn't just accidentally click in the
wrong spot thereby shutting off a crucial application that
needs to be left running... Is there a way to hide the
application from showing up in the task bar when it is
running or disabling the most trivial ways that we
normally close applications (the ones that can be done by
accident as well as by plan)??? Any help would be
appreciated... thanks.. bob paris..
