I have several presenters in a panel session, each having a different slide
master, etc. I would like to load them up so that they are in a single file
and I do not have to close each one and then open the next. I know how to
toggle between files, but would prefer to have them all part of the same file.

Why not have a button on the last slide that, when clicked, opens up the
next presentation? You can learn more about linking files at:

There are a number of ways to do this, starting with the linking method
mentioned by Bil and TAJ.

What version of PowerPoint do you have? Multiple masters are a feature of
PowerPoint 2002 and 2003, so you can blend the presentations into one.

You could also create a one slide "Agenda" presentation that has an event title
on it and buttons or icons that link to the several presentations.
