how to handle Clipboard memory dumping from Excel

I have a macro that opens another spreadsheet and copies a large volume of
data from it and pastes it into another spreadsheet. It then goes back to
that source spreadsheet, closes it and returns to the pasted into
spreadsheet. Windows prompts the user if they want to keep or delete the
large volume of data in the clipboard.
Is there some code I can include in my macro that will instruct Windows to
dump the clipboard memory?

TIA, Alan
