Using XPpro and Office 2003 products

My father just moved in with me and needs to have larger text sizes for
Word and Outlook.
I don't want to change the basic setup that my sons and I use - what is the
best way to handle this.

Have a sepearate log in for him (which I would rather not do) or some type
of desktop program that would make everything larger or smaller depending
on when clicked ?

Thanks in advance

Some people find a low resolution desktop works well. Just turn down the
screen resolution in Display Properties. Not the most elegant solution
though.

Try him with the Magnifier tool in Start - Programs - Accessories -
Accessibility and see if that will do the job.

If not then a separate log in name for him, with his own custom
desktop settings (lower screen resolution plus large fonts) would
probably be the next best choice.

And if neither of these are the solution that you are looking for then
you probably need to get some specialty software for the visually
impaired. One of the best resources for information about this is
EASI (Equal Access to Software and Information) at

Good luck
