Hello,

I've searched microsoft's website, and MS Help in both w2k and win 98 and
can't get answers.

Is there a good resource on how to network a win98 machine to a PC and
laptop, both using w2k, through a ethernet hub?

I can see the network neighborhood icon on the win 98 machine, and when I
double click on the entire network button (that's the only one listed), I
get a windows Explorer error:

"Unable to browse the network. The network is not accessible. For more
info, look in the Help Index at the topic "Network Troubleshooter". "

The troubleshooter doesn't work.

The laptop and win2k PC see each other through the hub.

I'll probably upgrade the win 98 machine to w2k once I get the data I need
from it and get possible duplicate files synchronized....

Thank you! If anyone could point me to a good resource for learning how to
do this/troubleshoot it, I'd appreciate it.

Install NetBuie on all the machines and remove SPX from the 98. Then look
for a file on your hard drive called "HOSTS" open it in notepad, read the
instructions, edit the file and save it.
