I'm trying to create a graph that will display the grade of a slope of land so my less geeky biking buddies can get an idea of the kind of hills they'll be dealing with, but I have absolutely no experience using spreadsheet programs at all.
I would like to set it up so that I can can plug in simple numbers such as the elevation in feet divided by the distance in miles, converted to feet(I've already got it doing this just fine) and showing the amount of degrees that would result (Elevation / Distance) * 100 = Percentage of grade. (also doing the math on this just fine.)
What I have thus far been unable to get it to do, is accurately plot the angle of the grade visually. If anyone could walk me through this, if its possible, I would greatly appreciate it.
