How to go instantly to the most recent message in a folder?

I've wasted just today 10 minutes having to scroll and scroll and scoll just to get to the most recent message. In MSOE all I had to do was leave a folder and come back and voila, I'd be instantly at the most recent message. How can I get there instantly in Outlook?

The more I use Outlook the more I despise it.

Please help!.

To me it is odd, in all of my folders upon entry it goes to the most recent
message, yet in one it goes to an arbitrary message of from a few weeks to a
few months ago.
