I installed IE7 beta2 successfully. On the first run itself, it did load any
images from rediff.com and msn.com I visit these two websites very often
(about 10 times every day). Only text was shown. I then uninstalled it to
get back to IE6, and did a restart of the computer. But the IE6 also loads
the pages very slowly now and without any images or animation. Before this I
never faced any problem.
I have Windows XP Prof SP2, upgraded with latest updates.

Check your settings in Tools/Internet Options and try clearing files using
Start/Control Panel/Performance & Maintenance/Free up space....
Also defrag.
Or you can use System Restore to go back to before you downloaded it.

Thanks Peter. But this did not work at all. Still stuck with the same, text
only for website.
Gosh! this IE7 :-(

Hi,
Probably not this easy ;-) but Internet Options> Advanced> Multimedia,
proper boxes checked?

Disable (for diagnostic purposes) programs such as pop-up blockers,
security, toolbars and other add-ons for IE, anti-virus, firewalls, etc.
Take a look at any program that interacts with IE. You may have to
reconfigure, reinstall, or not reinstall, a program.

Turn on the Windows Firewall (from Control Panel or Security Center) before
disabling a third-party firewall.

Other possibilities for missing images:

Hope this helps,

Maybe if you posted with a more apt header like "pages not loading properly"
or "no images etc."

I dont know what clicked. I tried every trick you guys gave me. Finally, I
reinstalled IE7 beta.
Except for minor glitches in loading pages in the same tab, it is now
working fine.

Thanks Everyone for the help!

However, I am still curious how can one go back to IE6 just in case....

Kind regards

First try uninstalling via Add/Remove Programs. (Make sure Show Updates box
is checked)

If IE7 isn't found there, try the following, compiled by/courtesy of MVP
Sandi Hardmeier:

Run the commandline

%windir%\$NtUninstallie7bet2p$\spuninst\spuninst.exe

(replace %windir% with the path to your Windows folder, most often
c:\windows). Make sure view hidden folders is enabled via Control Panel,
Folder Options.

or

Go to the key

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer

Right click on Internet Explorer > New String Value > Name that value
InstalledByUser (the value of the new String should be your User Account
name) > Uninstall IE7 via Add/Remove Programs.

Beta testers of IE7 Public Preview are asked to post their comments to
