If you think that you have coded some dependencies shouldn't you be requesting
what you *need* instead of looking at the current default (which apparently may be due
to what all else is installed and what it's installed in--e.g. which OS your script is running in? <w>)

That article has not been updated yet to refer to IE7 or Vista
though perhaps the latter may be excused by this general caveat:

MSXML 6.0 may be included with IE7? FWIW I do not have XML 5.0
but I do have IE7 and I do have XML 6.0 and I'm not aware how I got it.
