How to get the update popup out of the way..

Every time it wants to update, the status window blocks the
lower right portion of the screen (eg scroll bars). There
seems to be no way to get the dam thing out of the way if
you do decide to update, and this is very annoying on a
dialup connection - I have other work to do, MS!! Any
solution, other than resizing all my windows every time it
happens, or always telling it not to update...?

Sheesh.. I've uninstalled it until that sort of stupid
issue is fixed.

Sorry if this has already been asked, but MS has disabled
the search function..

Go to Options > Settings > AutoUpdater > uncheck the following:
"Notify me when updates, patches, or new versions of Microsoft AntiSpyware
is available"

Ensure that the following is checked:
Apply new spyware updates without interrupting me (recommended)

If none of those don't work, its probably just buggy.

Thanks, Andre. The problem is, as my time is limited and I
use a slow dialup, I would much prefer to know and control
when and what is being downloaded.

If you Uncheck the box Apply new updates without interrupting me then when
the pop-up box comes up and asks if you want to apply the new file
definitions just press Cancel then update manually (File, Check for updates)
at your convenience.
