I do not have the SYSPREP tool on my windows 2000 system
even though I am on service pack 4 plus all the critical
updates.
I attempted to download the sysprep tool from Microsoft for
disaster recovery preparation,
and even though I run windows 2000, I'm being asked to run the
WGAP plug-in for validation.
The WGAP faq states: "Genuine Windows downloads are available,
without validation, to customers running Windows 98, Windows ME,
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Windows 2000, Windows Server 2003, Windows XP
Professional x64 Edition, Windows Vista, and Windows NT 4.0 with
Service Pack 3."
I have been going around and around with Microsoft support, and
have been unable to convince any of the support personnel to
actually read my question, namely: How do I get the sysprep tool
for windows 2000?
It appears that either scripts or support personnel simply find
a keyword and send an unhelpful automated answer. I've been
twice directed to the paid support page, and I feel that my
question should be answered without my having to pay.
So, after many days of frustration, I'm coming here to ask:
