Each time i open myu powerpoint presentation i get some warning about
macros and externally linked files. Is there a way that i can bypass
this message as i know that i wish to allow these elements and often
when i commnce a presentatioin projection it does not look good in
front oa viewing audience

Perfection,
Go to Tools - Macro - Security - Security Level - select Low click OK.
Restart PowerPoint and you will not get
the macro warning. That leaves you vulnerable though as indicated in the
dialogue.

Look up your "trusted location" in Office Button | PPT Options to determine
where it is. Then put the presentation (and maybe the linked files, too, not
sure) in the trusted location.

My understanding is that this overrides the warning(s) upon open (regardless
of your macro security settings), but it won't affect the warnings you
receive when clicking links while running the file in Slide Show View -- so
you'll still get those.

Just checked ... if the linked PPT files are in a trusted folder and have
macros, then the macros will work (and no warning is thrown in your face),
subject to trust center settings that permit macros.

The same file linked to in another untrusted folder WILL provoke MSNanny to
disrupt your presentation.

I've only tested links to PPTM files with macros. I don't know what'll happen
to other ahem "dangerous" links that might bring an end to civilization as we
know it. Movies and stuff.
