If the program is really gone - no remaining program files, etc. - and you
just want to remove the entry from Add/Remove Programs for cosmetic
purposes, the easiest way is by using TweakUI. This is a free power toy
from Microsoft.

The manual way is to edit the registry. Start>Run>regedit [enter]
Navigate to HKLM>Software>Microsoft>Windows>Current Version>Uninstall and
look for the entry in the left-hand side. The description will show up on
the right side. When you find the entry for the program, delete it. Be very
careful when working in the registry as changes are immediate and the wrong
change can ruin Windows.

Ok, so I have the same problem. I have an old version of rollercoaster tycoon, and it doesnt wanna work on my XP, so I got rid of it and bought a new version. BUT, when I try to install the new CD, it tells me to uninstall the old one. BUT it's not on the Add/remove program list or in my registry. when I put the old CD back in, then it does the autoplay thing and give me the option to play or uninstall. clicking either does nothing. when I tried to install the expansion pack, it tells me to install the original version!!!! so I'm so confused, and it's really pissing me off. any help would be greatly appreciated!

Have you thought about calling the game manufacturer and their service desk for info
