When one of my computers boots up, it presents two choices for OS...

Windows 2000 Professional

Windows 2000 (default)

The lower choice which is the default comes up even though there is only
one OS on the machine...

How do I get rid of the Windows 2000 (default) choice?

Here's the contents of my boot.ini file:

[boot loader]
timeout=10
Default=multi(0)disk((0)rdisk(0)partition(1)WINNT
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT="Microsoft Windows 2000
Professional" /fastdetect

Suggestions?

Thanks!

Here is the easy way...
1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control
Panel.

2. Double-click System.

3. Click the Advanced tab.

4. Click "Startup and Recovery".

5. In the "Default operating system" box, click the
Windows 2000 operating system to boot first. Then clear
the "Display list of operating systems" check box.

After that, please reboot the machine to see if this
issue ceases.

Worked great for me. Good Luck BAC
