How to get photo options in picture folder (such as slideshow.)

I had always assumed that folders with pictures in would
provide me the viewing tools that I normally see in 'my
pictures' such as filmstrip, slideshow, etc. I have
recently found that some (not all) subdirectories in my
pictures do not give me these photo options, but instead
just give me the standard folder tools.
Interestingly, if I copy a few .jpg files to a folder I
named copy, the folder does provide me the picture tools.
I searched the knowledge base but it doesn't seem to
provide information on what makes the picture options
available, just that some folders do not provide those
tools.
Does anyone know how I can make a folder provide those
picture tools. We're talking XP, of course.

Right click on the folder name, click on properties, click on the customize
tab, select Pictures.
The default is if all pictures in a folder are photos you get the photo
options. If you have a mixture of file types and the first file listed is
not a photo file you do not get the photo options, but you can get them by
manually customizing the folder.

Thanks Yves. I knew there was a way to do it. I just
didn't know it would be so easy

By the way. This morning I received about a dozen virus
laden emails from sources calling themselves 'Microsoft
security (anything)' and 'Administrator' and 'Postmaster,
returned message' Do you suppose it had anything to do
with my placing my email address on this forum for the
first time.

I don't know. However, it is a good idea to modify your real e-mail so that
software used to screen and collect e-mail addresses will not recognize them
as valid while a real person will decipher your real e-mail.
Some use XYZ@@net.com. It is pretty easy for a person to remove one @ to get
your real e-mail address while it will be invalid when collected by software
for spamming. Others use NospamXYZ@net .com or something like this. Indeed a
very good idea to modify something in order to prevent the spammer.
