How to get out of READ-ONLY mode when using Access 2007

Here is the scoop - I created two Access DB's (One containing the data and
one containing the Forms etc) I loaded them out to a server that everyone in
the office can access. Then I made sure that the tables were linked up
correctly.
Once this was complete, I created a link from everyone's desk so that they
could all start the 'Forms' DB.
The first user clicks on the link and the database comes up fine. The
initial screen comes up and allows them to sign in. ALL IS WELL!
However, for the second user, I click on the link and it opens up in
READ-ONLY mode!
I made sure the Trust Center is correct but I can't figure out why one user
can edit information on the forms but the other cannot??????
HELP PLEASE!!!

Putting the "front-end" (all but the data) on a server and making everyone
"hit" that single front-end is one of the single largest causes of data
corruption you will likely encounter.

And if there are ANY issues from the Network folks about permissions on the
folders and subfolders, you will likely see the kind of lock-out behavior
you describe.

Consider putting a copy of the front-end .mdb file on EVERY PC/desktop
(rather than a link to it).

Good luck!

As Jeff Boyce has already indicated, you should be able to solve this problem
by giving each user their own copy of the FE (front-end) application. If you
are concerned about distributing updates later, then all you need is a free
tool call the AutoFE Updater. More details here:

I made sure the Trust Center is correct....

So, everyone is using Access 2007, right?
