How to get INDEX-page back?

I was studying front page. I created a new page which was this Index-page.
Since there was no need for this page at this point I mistakenly deleted
Index -page. Can I get it back, because it was obviosly very important? How
does it effect if I don't have it?
 
Create a new page and name it index.htm and save it

The index page is the default page, also known as the "Home" page.

Anything deleted from within Frontpage is deleted permanently - it does not
end of in the Recycle Bin.
