Does anyone have ready boost working with a DVD?

I have 2gb mem, and want to use the ready boost function

Bigdumbdog,

Your valid question needs much more technical information shared by -you-
before it generates intelligent responses.

It seems too apparent that if you read 1st) Vista's "Help and Support"
Files, including, 2nd) Vista's new "Start Search" Field (just type your
request) also Microsoft's online Search, and the (tied for 1st) "Welcome
Center" very easily you will learn more that ever could you imagine !

It is my understanding that you can only use the "Ready Boost" with USB jump
drives.
When went to the release party on the 30th, we were told that it may or may
not work
with USB external drives. Jump drives work the best.

Using a DVD would not have the read/write speeds required to use Ready
Boost, so
why would you want to? Jump drives are so cheap, go get a couple. BTW, not
sure
about this one, but I do believe that you can use only one at a time for
Ready Boost.

While using a DVD as a jump drive would be crazy, it is not just USB memory
sticks that can be used. I have an Sandisk Ultra II SD card in my laptop's
built-in card reader that works fine for Readyboost.
