how to get calendar entrys back after restoring a backup in outlo

is there a way to get your old calendar entries back after a restore of a
backup?
 
Can you open the PST file you backed up (using the File menu > Open >
Outlook Data File command)? If so, you can then drag/drop calendar stuff
from it (the backup) to your current set of folders
