How to get any directory listing to be MY sequence (date) and entrysequence?

W-Explorer is a nice directory lister, but it rarely does what I want
at first pop, though I have gotten other software to do what I really need.

(My files go back 20 odd years, and I only deal daily with the more
recent. What I need to be the default display of a directory contents is
Details, the filename first, the date modified second and possibly the
size third. I want the LATEST file to be displayed at the beginning
since that is likely to be the one I want NOW. I know there is a trick
to get W-explorer to do that no matter what the HD system I am dealing
with, but the ant dance to get there from here is not widely advertised..

HELP!

Click into the grey header of the "Size" column and keep the left
mouse button pressed. Drag the header to the desired position and
release the mouse button.
