How to get an appointment's alarm to trigger a macro

Does anyone know where I can find out how to get Outlook 2007 to allow the
user, when setting an appointment (and an alarm for that appointment) to
instruct outlook to somehow trigger a macro? (e.g., a macro that would send
the user's tel. a text message reminder, or send an email, or send a fax,
etc.)

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
