Help please! After 3 weeks I still can't print a borderless 5 x 7 photo on
my 5 x7 photo paper with my new deskjet 5550. I keep getting unwanted
borders. Any suggestions?

Scott

The DeskJet 5550 will only print 4x6 borderless photo's on 4x6 tabbed photo
paper.

The new DeskJet 5650 will print borderless on 4x6, 5x7, 8.5x11 and other
standard size papers.

I believe the 5550 will do 4x6 and 8.5x11, but not 5x7.

Perhaps an updated driver would help.

My Canon i850 did not originally support 5x7 photos, but Canon updated
the driver to support it after its initial release, not that 5x7 is all
that important. :)

I went to Canon USA website and downloaded a driver for the i850, but
it does not seem to include the 5x7 support. Where did you get this
driver?

It prints 4 x 6" tabed or not tabed A6 and some Japanise size card 100x148
mm Only
Best way for 5 x 7 then is A5 or A4 cut in halve or two to a sheet then
trim to 5 X 7"

I use the Canon UK site since the damned Canadian site sucks and I've
never been able to download anything from there, I just get an error in
IExplorer. Anywho...the driver version is 1.62c.

I checked, and you're right, the US site doesn't have the latest version
for some reason, but I think v1.62a has 5x7 support anyway. Open the
printer driver settings and have a look under the Page Setup tab, and
click the Page Size box and look for 5x7 in there. It should also show
up in Easy PhotoPrint.
