Hi,

I want to find a software able to generate a icc or icm profile - from
Excell or any text file - directly, so without using a screen or printer
calibrator ?

Does it exist ?

I don't know of one, but what exactly would the text file contain that would
enable you to generate an icc profile for a specific printer?

An ICC profile is basically a table of numbers. I, too, would very much
like to have software that would take an existing profile, decode it into
something that I can read, and enable me to edit it.

You're welcome. Mind you, I haven't got a clue how to use it! If you work it
out let the world know.

Thanks a lot too, I'm having a look on the url.

Till now I am using Monaco products to generate such profile but want to
tune them.

Thanks -- that's exactly what we were looking for!

Be aware that Timo's work is much disputed by most well known color experts.
Take his advice, especially regarding gamma, with a big grain of salt. I'm
not saying he's wrong, but the folks at Adobe sure think he is.
