All:
I have WinXP connected to an ISP which provides me with a dynamic IP address
for each login. The computer shares the Internet connection with the rest
of my home network which has a simple Netgear EN-104 hub for signal
routing. The second box happens to be Linux computer which shouldn't be
relevant, but is the case nevertheless. The XP box has Zonealarm Pro
firewall software running on it which is currently configured to allow my
Linux box to share the Internet connection from the XP box.
Are you with me so far?
Anyhow, I am playing with Perl socket communications on my Linux box and
would like to allow for an external system to connect to the Linux box but
I need to be able to get the message through my crazy setup. I'm assuming
that I need to configure my Network Bridge somehow but I haven't a clue
what to do. Incidentally, I can acquire the IP address for all the key
components.
I would appreciate some assistance with the configuration.
Thank you very much in advance.
