Hi all. I'm trying to update the firmware on my Samsung SW-408B (F:).
Problem is, I have it set as a secondary CD-ROM. When I try running the
firmware update it detects the primary CD-ROM (E:) Sony CDU-5211) so I have
to abort the update.
Short of opening up the case, is there a way of pointing the firmware update
to the correct CD-ROM drive?

TIA!

Is THIS newsgroup for SONY,SAMUNG or any OTHER brand?
Nope...
ask in the right place then.......

Uhm...the OS I'm using is WinXP. The firmware update I'm using runs on
WinXP. I asked it here because I have to update within WinXP.

So you posted to the help_and_support newsgroup for XP.

I would first suggest that you ask the maker of the device as to how to
proceed.
I would second suggest that you temporarily move the subject drive to the
master position.
