I had to do a win2000 reinstall, i did it without wiping data.

I want to be able to use the old personality profiles and the programs
associated with them.
#1 can this be done.

#2 If yes , then how do I go about it?

(the reason for trying to do this is my MSOffcie intall disk is ruined
and I had it installed on the system... but it wont let me use it,
becouse it says I don't have it installed on this user. need startup or
setup disk.)

Help... no money to buy Offcie again, and I got this long ago so don't
have paperwork.... yikes

Did you do a repair install or parallel install? If the latter then the
answer is no. If the former then you can then copy over the items you need
from the orphaned profile. Copy the folder contents not the folders
themselves. Use the import function of your e-mail software. Don't overwrite
ntuser.dat
