Just in case anyone wants to now what the tested speed is of a device used
for Ready Boost on your Vista system, it can be seen in the registry at:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\EMDMgmt

Maybe there's an easier way to get this info ?...I haven't found it yet.

Admin tools>Event viewer>App &
services>Microsoft>Windows>ReadyBoost>Operational

Not running Vista at the moment but I think the above steps are correct -
the above also indicates that Vista creates a ReadyBoost cache without the
external memory device.

There's some information there but it doesn't show the speed that the memory
tested out to when Vista performed it's compatibility test. That information
is in the registry at the location I listed below.

I just bought a sandisk 2GB Micro cruzer flash drive and windows asked me if
i wanted to use it to speed up my computer and it tested OK. I was able to
verify it with the info provided in admin tools. Compusa has them on sale for
$29.99 this week! thanks for all of the info.
